Project Tango is pleased to offer a five-week beginner’s progression series at the weekly CELLSpace Alternative Milonga on Wednesday nights!
The first course will run from September 14 through October 19 (no class on October 5). You will learn the basic vocabulary, etiquette, and musicality of Argentine Tango.
Registration is $75 for five weeks, which covers the cost of all classes and the CELLSpace Alternative Milonga afterwards. Register at the front desk beforehand or at the first class on September 14. No partner or prior experience necessary, but dancers may find it helpful to attend a drop-in beginner class or two beforehand.
Our first progression series will be taught by Emily Webb. Emily began her love affair with partner dancing in 1996. Starting out as a Lindy Hopper, through the years she transitioned through Tango, Salsa, Blues, and Fusion dance. Today, Emily teaches Tango and Fusion dancing across the U.S.; and she is the co-creator of Mission Fusion and Tango Atipico, monthly San Francisco dances.
Project Tango will continue to offer a beginner drop-in class for those who miss the start of this progression series.
